- This perennial grows to approximately 10 cm in height. The entire plant is covered with dense grayish-white bristles. The leaves are linear-lanceolate, and the corolla is divided into five lobes.

- from the eighth stage to the upper rocky areas
- Other information:
- a variety of miyamamurasaki (Eritrichium nipponicum). White flowers are also common. The plant is also found in Sakhalin.
- Japanese name origin:
- The “murasaki” means “purple,” and it is part of the name of the Boraginaceae family (“murasaki-ka”). While many plants in the Boraginaceae family have purple hues, this flower is especially known for its beautiful “ruri” (lapis lazuli blue) color.
