- This deciduous dwarf shrub grows to approximately 50 cm in height. It branches frequently, and the leaves are composed of five elliptic leaflets. The flowers bloom in small clusters at the tips of the branches.

- The “kinrobai” comes from “kinro,” meaning “golden dew,” which refers to dew on the flowers that reflects their color with a golden shine, and from “bai,” which refers to the flowers of ume (plum trees) due to their similar appearance.
