- This perennial grows to approximately 10 cm in height. The radical leaves are oblanceolate with sparse hairs.

- rocky areas in and above the fifth stage
- Other information:
- an endemic variant species. Plants with reddish-purple flowers are also commonly found along the ridgeline between Mt. Yoshida and Mt. Pinneshiri.
- Japanese name origin:
- It is said that “azuma” refers to the Kanto region and means it is common in that region. This term is used in the names of many plants.
