Japanese name origin:
The name “chinguruma” may come from the flower’s resemblance to a traditional child’s cart (“chin,” written as “chigo,” meaning “child,” and “kuruma” meaning “cart”) or from the seeds with feather-like hairs that resemble pinwheels used in children’s games.
