The Alpine Plant Restoration Test Site is located below the fifth-stage mountain lodge (B3). In response to a rapid decline in the number of alpine flowers on Mt. Apoi due to illegal digging and environmental change, locals, the government, and researchers work closely on various experiments at the site to examine how the mountain’s plant communities can be restored.
The test site is located slightly off the trail, and is not signposted. Guides take climbers to the location.
